Ameesha Patel is an Indian Kurmi actress. Patel was born in a Gujarati family to Amit Patel and Asha Patel in 1975 in the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.

Ameesha Patel Patel made her acting debut in the romantic thriller blockbuster "Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai". This film makes her super star. Another big hit movie "Gadar - Ek Prem Katha" released in 2001, which is one of the biggest hit movies in Hindi Cinema, give her chance to win "Filmfare Special Performance Award". Other big hit films are "Humraaz" - released in 2002 and "Bhool Bhulaiyaa" released in 2007. She also appeared in Telugu films and one Tamil films.
